For the international trivia contest, participants play from their dinner tables in groups of) eight. Folks are encouraged to arrange groups beforehand, but teams will also be formed at the event, so don’t hesitate to come on your own or in a smaller group. The quiz entails fifty multiple-choice questions covering a wide range of topics. The winning team’s moniker goes on the perpetual trophy.
An international buffet is included as well as a silent auction. Semi-formal or international attire is recommended, and in light of the no-host bar, any participants under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Tickets are $65 for adults ($40 for students, $30 for 15-and-under) and are available from board members, at the door and at jwac.org/worldquest2017.html.
Proceeds from this fundraiser allow JWAC to present their speaker lineup and travelogues through the year, and also support the annual JWAC Forum.
The event will start at 6 p.m. at Centennial Hall on Friday, Feb. 3.
