Memory
By W.S. Merk
memory
is a windblown ridge
shifting in light and color
chimney smoke whispers
our shared sky
smudging your kiss
into blurred rouge questions
this morning
this early afternoon
what better time
to carelessly drop open
the sheaf of our history
and read aloud
the page that lands
open in sunlight
