A vehicle collision between a car and a motorcycle resulted in two people being taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon near the Mendenhall Glacier, according to Juneau Police Department.
The initial investigation found that an automobile driven by a 51-year-old woman struck a motorcycle driven by a 64-year-old man and carry a 61-year-old woman, said Erann Kalwara, JPD public safety manager in a news release. The motorcycle driver and rider were injured and taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital by ambulance.
The crash is under investigation, and Glacier Spur Road is closed to through traffic, Kalwara said. More information will be published as it becomes available.
