The Alaska Democratic Caucus will take place Saturday, March 26 at 10 a.m. at 42 sites throughout the state. Juneau’s will happen at Centennial Hall.
Doors will open at 9 a.m. for registration at the Juneau caucus site.
Rep. Sam Kito III, D-Juneau, is scheduled to chair the caucus. Sen. Dennis Egan, D-Juneau, will also attend.
Anyone wanting to vote in the Democratic presidential fan-out must be a registered Democrat. If a participant is not currently a registered Democrat, same day voter registration will be available at the caucus site. Participants should bring photo ID in case voter registration or re-registration is required to vote.
Although not required, caucus participants are encouraged to pre-register at www.alaskademocrats.org.
In addition to the presidential vote, participants will elect delegates to the State Convention in Anchorage in May as well as a district officer and Statewide Central Committee members, and there will be discussion of possible changes to state party plan and platform.
