For the 21st consecutive year, lawmakers, staff and their families gathered at the Juneau Gun Club for the annual Legislative Shoot.
The shoot invites teams of three people to compete for bragging rights in four events: pistol shooting, archery, shotgun shooting, and rifle shooting. The event allows Capitol employees to socialize in a friendly atmosphere.
The event is hosted by the Alaska Correctional Officers Association, Juneau Gun Club, and the Outdoor Heritage Foundation. Volunteers from the Juneau Archery Club, Juneau Rifle and Pistol Club, the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and the Single Action Shooting Society also participate.
Breakfast was served by the ACOA, while Fatmo’s barbecue provided lunch. Juneau’s Single Action Shooting Society hosted a lunchtime demonstration of cowboy action shooting.
