Juneau Public Libraries will host an Alaska Native Cultural Festival Saturday.
The free and open-to-the-public event starts at 2 p.m. at the Douglas Public Library, 1016 Third St., Douglas, and will include activities and dancing from the Woosh.ji.een Dance Group.
The festival was organized by the libraries’ Inclusive Internship Initiative intern Morgan Blackgoat, who had to organize a program at the end of her internship.
The internship was provided for by a grant from the American Library Association.
The internship started with an introductory meeting in Washington, D.C., and the internship will culminate with a presentation in Chicago.
