ANCHORAGE — An Alaska performer has been charged with sexual abuse of a minor.
KTUU reports (https://is.gd/DJDCaa) 43-year-old Jack J. Dalton entered a not guilty plea Wednesday in an Anchorage courtroom.
Police allege he had sex with a 14-year-old minor he met on Craigslist. Undercover police later posed as the teen in online communications, and arrested Dalton last month when the officer arranged for a second encounter.
Dalton was appointed a public defender, who declined comment in an email to The Associated Press because it’s an open case.
Dalton was associated with Raven’s Radio Hour, which is described on its Facebook page as theatrical performances that showcase Alaska Native culture in a lighthearted way.
He was recently an actor in “Our Voices Will Be Heard,” a play about how two Tlingit women overcome trauma, including childhood sexual abuse. It debuted at Perseverance Theater on Douglas Island in January.
