Anchorage police ruling shooting as murder/attempted suicide

ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police are classifying a weekend shooting as murder/attempted suicide.

The shooting happened late Saturday in the Mountain View neighborhood.

Police said Cher Lor shot and killed Pang Xiong inside an apartment they shared before turning the gun on himself.

Lor remains in critical condition on Wednesday, and no charges have been filed.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the two were married, but neighbors told officers the two were living together.

Xiong’s two children, ages 10 and 15, were not harmed even though they were inside the apartment when the shootings occurred.
