Anchorage police seek 4 suspects in 3 assaults, robberies

ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police continue to seek four men suspected of three weekend robberies, including an attack that left a 72-year-old man with a skull fracture.

Police at 10 p.m. Friday took a report of a man robbed of a wallet and cellphone in the Mountain View neighborhood. He had been struck with a bottle and he suffered facial cuts.

Ten minutes later, a 50-year-old man bleeding from the lip walked into a Mountain View gas station and said four men had assaulted him and stolen his wallet.

At 11 p.m., multiple 911 calls reported four men breaking into Mountain View home.

Police found the homeowner beaten in the head, unconscious and in critical condition.

Witnesses describe the four suspects as Samoan men. One was heavy-set and one had wavy blond hair.
