Anchorage strip club seeks reinstatement of liquor license

ANCHORAGE — An Anchorage strip club is asking a judge to stop a state agency from revoking its liquor license.

Anchorage television station KTUU reported the Alcohol & Marijuana Control Office on July 20 voted unanimously to revoke the liquor license of Fantasies on Fifth.

The municipality of Anchorage and the state Department of Labor protested the license and say the business owes at least $500,000 to about 40 workers.

Three listed club owners could not be reached for comment. Their attorney, Brian Stibitz says in an email he has no comment “at this juncture.”

Stibitz is asking a Superior Court Judge to impose a restraining order against the decision to revoke the license. A hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 1.
