Auke Lake Boat Launch opens for season

As the big cruise ships arrive in Juneau, it’s also the season for local recreational boats to hit the water.

The Auke Lake Boat Launch is now open to the public, just days after the first cruise ships began to arrive in town. Seasonal regulatory buoys were installed in Auke Lake, signaling the beginning of the boating season there.

Boaters are reminded to review regulations and pay attention to restricted areas and no-wake zones. A complete list of regulations is located at the boat launch parking lot.
