JUNEAU — Juneau police said two adult siblings whose bodies were found this week both died of accidental drowning.
Police in a statement said the determination was made following autopsies conducted on the bodies of George and Kristina Young.
Forty-year-old George Young was found lying face down in Lemon Creek on Sunday. His 36-year-old sister was considered missing until her body was found Tuesday on the beach of North Douglas.
Police say they are awaiting toxicology reports, which could take up to two months. When George Young’s body was found, police indicated alcohol was a factor.
