All visitors to Bartlett Regional Hospital will be required to wear a face covering and wear it at all times, according to a release from the hospital.
As of Tuesday, April 7, visitors without masks won’t be allowed to enter the hospital, according to BRH. Patients will be strongly encouraged to wear homemade or ear-loop masks provided by BRH.
Both the Centers for Disease Control and the state of Alaska now recommend wearing masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Masks can reduce the release of respiratory droplets into the air when someone speaks, coughs or sneezes, including by people who have COVID-19 but no symptoms, according to BRH.
