The DEC’s Food Safety and Sanitation Program confirmed the Alaska distribution of the recently recalled single lot of Uncle Buck’s Fish Batter Mix by BlendTech Inc.
The recall occurred due to the presence of an undeclared milk ingredient. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
The recalled Batter Mix was distributed to Bass Pro Shops stores nationwide, including Alaska. No adverse reactions have been reported as of Jan. 19 in Alaska or other states.
