STERLING — Alaska State Troopers say a 47-year-old Kenai Peninsula man was found dead on a trail near the community of Sterling.
The body of Leroy Sather of Sterling was found on a four-wheeler trail off Pacer Street.
Trooper investigators say Sather may have died of exposure.
Troopers in Soldotna took a call on the death early Thursday afternoon. Spokeswoman Megan Peters says Sather’s body was transported to the state medical examiner for positive identification and an autopsy.
