With unseasonably warm weather hitting Juneau this month, perhaps it’s fitting that a band from a warmer climate is headlining a show this coming Saturday.
Dankrupt, a Los Angeles-based rock band, is providing the main show at The Winter Wipeout this weekend, taking place at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center. Though the band is based in Southern California, the band’s bassist Nick “Nicky B” Banaszak was born and raised in Juneau.

The show is a fundraiser for the Southeast Alaska Cancer Connection and includes a silent auction. There will also be a full bar and food available, and attendees must be 21 years old or older.
Gamble & The High Costa Living and Tongass Tokers will open for Dankrupt at the event. Tickets are $25 and are available at JAHC.org, at the JACC, Rainy Retreat Books and both locations of Hearthside Books.
