Car charging station will soon have time limit
Later this month, electric vehicle owners will have a little less time to charge their rides at one parking garage.
The EV charging station at the Marine Parking Garage will be limited to two hours starting Monday, Oct. 16. The charging station is located on the first level of the garage, between spaces 24 and 25, and is active from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
Those who park there are required — like any other vehicle owner — to pay to park during the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Outside of those hours, there is no fee. There is also no additional fee for using the charging station, which is reserved solely for cars that are actively charging.
