The City and Borough of Juneau needs volunteers to help steer its newly-expanded budgeting process.
Volunteers would participate in two-hour focus group sessions designed to help the city prioritize its programs and services. Public participation will inform the Juneau Assembly and city staff on community priorities and help guide spending decisions.
CBJ is still looking for volunteers to participate in the following groups: Seniors (Friday, Feb. 3, 10 a.m. to noon, Assembly Chambers); Rotary/Chamber members (Monday, Feb. 6, 1 to 3 p.m., Valley Library); General Public (Thursday, Feb. 9, 1 to 3 p.m., Valley Library); Families with kids in grades K – 8 (Saturday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m. to noon, Valley Library) and General Public (Thursday, Feb. 16, 6 to 8 p.m., Valley Library).
Sign up for a focus group at https://beta.juneau.org/pdb/focus-group-registration or by contacting Deputy City Manager Mila Cosgrove at mila.cosgrove@juneau.org or 586-5240.
CBJ is also holding public education meetings on the CBJ budget and the new, expanded budget process on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Assembly Chambers and Saturday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. in the Valley Library.
