According to the Federal Aviation Administration, a China Airlines Boeing 747 struck a stair truck at Anchorage International Airport on Sunday.
An incident report filed with the FAA states that China Airlines flight 5383 struck the truck about 8:30 in the morning.
Subsequent investigation found damage to the plane’s left wingtip. The flight, a cargo freighter with two flight crew aboard, was eventually allowed to take off.
According to flight tracking service FlightAware, the flight arrived from Houston’s Bush International Airport on Saturday and left for Taiwan’s Taoyuan International on Monday morning.
