Before putting the project out to bid, City and Borough of Juneau officials are hoping to get some public feedback on a future project that will include the reconstruction of part of Shaune Drive.
The project, which is still in the design phase and doesn’t have a projected start date, will repave Shaune Drive from Anka Street to Borrow Street and will improve the drainage system. It will also include resurfacing on Charles Way.
Prior to getting too far into the planning process, the city is holding a public meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24 at the Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School library. CBJ Project Manager Paul Beck said he hopes local business owners and members of the public show up to learn more about the project and offer their suggestions.
The meeting will feature staff members from the CBJ Engineering Department and PDC Engineers. Those with thoughts on the project who are unable to make it to the meeting are asked to email Beck at paul.beck@juneau.org.
