City to shut off water in some Douglas neighborhoods Friday

Fourth of July weekend will be off to a dry start for many Douglas residents.

Starting at 8:30 a.m. Friday, the city will be shutting off water for many Douglas residences as a result of the Crow Hill Reservoir Fill Line Replacement project. The shutoff could last as late as 4:30 p.m., a public service announcement stated Wednesday.

The city will be notifying the residences shortly. The affected area includes Sixth Street, Alta Court, Laurel Drive, Fifth Street, Crow Hill Drive, Lawson Creek Road, Great Western Street, Raven Road, Creek Street and part of Third Street.
