All around the state, the Department of Health and Social Services is hosting community discussions surrounding the state’s opioid epidemic. This Tuesday, it’s Juneau’s turn.
From 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Elizabeth Peratrovich Hall, experts from the Alaska Office of Substance Misuse and Addiction Prevention will facilitate a discussion about Juneau’s response to opioid misuse. This series of meetings is meant to better inform the state’s response to opioid use across the state.
JAMHI (Juneau Alliance for Mental Health, Inc.) Health & Wellness is co-hosting the event, along with Safer Alaska.
