Three Juneau-Douglas High School boys soccer seniors scored in a 5-0 shutout Wednesday evening over Thunder Mountain High School.
Ben Campbell scored two goals while Brysen Mitchell, Ezra Geselle and junior Kanon Goetz all scored one. It’s the second season in a row in which Campbell has scored two goals in a game. As a junior, Campbell scored a pair of goals in a 4-2 loss to Dimond High School.
Campbell’s goals came early in the first half — he headed in his second of the game in the 15th minute on a cross from Mitchell.

The Crimson Bears struck again just four minutes later when Mitchell danced around several defenders and tucked the ball inside the left goal post. Campbell found Goetz directly in front of the net to make it a 4-0 game in the 45th minute before Geselle capped the scoring shortly after on a low shot that zipped by three Falcon defenders.
JDHS and TMHS will square off again on Monday at 6:45 p.m. at Adair Kennedy Memorial Field. Lingering snow has kept the field out of service thus far this spring.
