Several members of the Downtown Business Association will be speaking at the Juneau Chamber of Commerce’s weekly luncheon today about a new downtown revitalization program.
Association President Jill Ramiel will be speaking alongside DBA members Evelyn Rousso and Dana Herndon about Main Street America, a program that the DBA would like to implement in Juneau.
Main Street America is a “common-sense, strategy driven framework that guides community based revitalization efforts,” according to its website. It has been around since 1980 and implemented in more than 2,000 communities across the U.S.
Today’s event will take place in the Moose Lodge. Ramiel, Rousso and Herndon will begin speaking at noon. Doors for the event will open at 11:30 a.m.
Tickets cost $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
