Agnes Rose Davis died July 15, 2018, at Bartlett Regional Hospital. She was 72.
Davis was born Aug. 13, 1944 in Excursion Inlet, Alaska, to Henry and Mary Peterson. She graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in the early 1960s. She made a career as an administrative assistant with the federal Bureau of Indian Affairs, where she met and married her husband George L. Davis in 1971. She continued her career with Sealaska, Seabic and finishing against with the BIA.
Davis was known to her family and friends as a prayer warrior, where for many years she hosted prayer meetings at her home. She is survived by her daughter Christina Davis, grandson Artemio Sandoval, and siblings Bernadine and Brian Lupro, Henrietta Wells and Alberta King.
A memorial will be held from 6-9:30 p.m., Aug. 9, 2018, at Tlingit and Haida Community Center on Hospital Drive.
