Dillingham man indicted in 2015 beating death, robbery

ANCHORAGE — A grand jury has indicted a 36-year-old Dillingham man on murder and robbery charges in the 2015 death of a 55-year-old woman.

Brian Clark is charged with first and second degree murder in the death of Ella Olsen on Feb. 7, 2015.

Olsen’s body was found just after 5 p.m. that day at her home. Dillingham police concluded she had been beaten to death and an autopsy confirmed it.

She had suffered injuries to her head, torso and extremities.

Dillingham police and Alaska State Troopers investigated the case.

Clark was arrested Tuesday in Anchorage in a joint effort by Dillingham police, troopers and U.S. marshals. State prosecutors say Clark is scheduled for arraignment Sept. 28 in Dillingham Superior Court.

Online court records do not list a defense attorney.
