In the wake of a fatal traffic accident on Glacier Highway near the Shrine of Saint Thérèse, the Alaska Department of Transportation has begun planning to install more than 3,000 feet of guardrail along the highway.
In a public notice published Tuesday, DOT indicated construction will take place this fall. The guardrail will run from the Breadline Bluff Trail parking area to the entrance road to the Shrine.
