The Juneau Police Department has turned to social media for help in identifying the suspects in a brawl that was caught on surveillance video.
According to JPD Lt. Kris Sell, within hours of posting the video on Facebook, the post was shared nearly 150 times and department has already gotten several suspect names in the ongoing investigation.
The series of assaults and disorderly conduct incidents took place just after the bars closed on April 24, at about 2:48 a.m. near the corner of Seward and Front streets. JPD is asking for assistance in identifying multiple aggressors in the video, including a man in a red tank top with a number “3” on it who can be seen punching a woman from the side.
If you have information about the people in the video who are fighting but not in self-defense, or are assaulting others, contact the investigating officer, Officer Steve Scherrer, at 586-0600.
The video is posted on the JPD’s Facebook page.
