The City and Borough of Juneau announced Tuesday afternoon that Roger Healy has been appointed to the Engineering & Public Works Director position.
The current Director is Rorie Watt who will step into the role of city manager come April 18. Healy will begin as director in early May.
Healy has worked in the engineering field. He currently serves as an Assistant Commissioner of Statewide Engineering with the State of Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, a position he has held since 2008. Previously, Healy was employed by the CBJ in the Engineering Department. Healy was Engineering Director from 2003–2008, Chief CIP/Project Engineer from 1996–2003 and a Project Engineer from 1992–1996. He has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Geology, a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
