The Upper Lynn Canal Fish and Game Advisory Committee will meet Nov. 20 to discuss a proposal to build artifical log jams in rivers along the upper Lynn Canal.
The jams would artificially create eddies and calm spots in rivers to serve as fish habitat.
In other business, the committee will elect new officers and hear a brief presentation about king salmon habitat in the lower Chilkat River.
The meeting takes place at 5 p.m. in Haines’ upper city council chambers.
