A former Juneau Police Department officer, charged in July for driving under the influence after a crash that sent a woman to the hospital, has been arrested for on suspicion of another DUI.
Brent Otis Bartlett, 43, was arrested Monday afternoon for driving under the influence, misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree and violating conditions of release. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center, and has since been released on bail.
Possessing a firearm while impaired by drugs or alcohol can lead to a charge of misconduct involving weapons in the fourth degree under state statute.
Bartlett separated from the Juneau Police Department shortly after the previous arrest, said Lt. Krag Campbell of the JPD in a phone interview.
Bartlett’s trial for his initial DUI is scheduled for June, though that date may change as disease control measures alter court schedules.
