Front Street will be blocked to traffic between 3-10 p.m. Friday to accommodate Gallery Walk shoppers.
The closure extends from Main Street to Franklin Street.
The event is hosted by the Juneau Economic Development Council, and Gallery Walk is the biggest First Friday event of the year for downtown businesses.
The street is expected to host food, gift and other vendors, and traffic (both pedestrian and vehicle) is expected to be heavy during the event.
Parking in city-owned garages will be free during Gallery Walk. The Shopper’s Lot, the North Franklin Street lot, the downtown Transportation Center garage and the Marine Parking Garage are all free to use.
