ANCHORAGE — A 10-year-old girl has died after she was struck by a vehicle in Anchorage.
Police say the girl died at a local hospital late Sunday night, hours after she was hit by a Chevy Blazer near the intersection of 88th Avenue and Jewel Lake Road.
According to police, officers responded to the scene shortly before 5:45 p.m. Sunday after getting a call about a young pedestrian being struck by a vehicle.
Police say the driver of the Blazer remained at the scene and was cooperative with authorities.
The girl’s name was not immediately released.
Police say the investigation is continuing and no citations or charges have been issued.
