Members of the Alaska State Legislature will hold a “Go Blue” rally Friday to demonstrate support for children who have suffered abuse or adverse experiences.
Participants are being asked to wear blue and share photos on social media to demonstrate their support and spread knowledge of the event.
April is Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention month, and the rally is hosted by Rep. Geran Tarr, D-Anchorage.
The rally will take place between 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the steps of the Capitol.
Fourth Street will be closed to traffic between Main Street and Seward Street during the rally.
Anyone with questions about the event should call Magdalena Oliveros at 465-3424.
