Coppa sure knows how to hook its customers.
The downtown coffee and ice cream shop is giving away coffee for just 3 cents today.
Co-owner Marc Wheeler said the deal is to jointly celebrate the business’s three year anniversary and National Coffee Day.
For three pennies, customers will receive a 12-ounce drip coffee. Limit is one per customer.
Coppa opened in September 2013 near the Federal Building, 917 Glacier Ave. It serves 100 percent organic Sentinel Coffee roasted in Gustavus, and also offers house-made baked goods, soup, panini sandwiches and salads. It’s best known for its artisanal, handmade ice cream, and has been voted “Best Ice Cream Shop” in Juneau in the Empire Readers’ Choice survey three years in a row.
