The Alaska State Library’s historical collections reading room has closed to the public due to the ongoing move to the new State Library, Archives and Museum.
The reading room is located on the eighth floor of the State Office Building.
With the closure of the reading room, the historical collections can be accessed from 1-4:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays in the state library’s main office across the atrium from the historic collections reading room.
Information requests must be submitted one week in advance due to the need to move items from the vault of the new building to the State Office Building.
