Police say the third occupant of a truck involved in a fatal wreck has been located and was uninjured in the crash.
Following the Tuesday morning wreck in which a white pickup truck lost control and rolled over before sinking into Auke Lake, police attempted to contact an 18-year-old man who they say was one of three occupants of the vehicle and one of two who left the scene before responders arrived. A JPD spokesperson on Friday confirmed the man had been located and wasn’t hurt in the crash.
The body of 19-year-old Hunter Dayton Fredrick was found in the truck on Wednesday, according to JPD, and another 19-year-old man went to the hospital for minor injuries.
JPD did not identify the two other occupants as no charges had been filed.
The crash remains under investigation, according to JPD.
