Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush filed the necessary paperwork to ensure Alaska’s Republicans will see his name on the Presidential Preference Poll on March 1, 2016.
Bush is the fourth major candidate to qualify for the preference poll.
“I’m proud and excited to file my paperwork to compete in Alaska’s Presidential Preference Poll,” Bush said. “Alaska is a special part of our country and the values and culture of Alaskans in many ways reflect the bedrock conservative principles of limited government and more freedom.
National delegates will be chosen at the April 28 state convention in Fairbanks and will be bound by the votes of the presidential preference poll.
