The Juneau Police Department will be doing SWAT training around Juneau today and Saturday.
JPD said in a news release that approximately 20 local, state and federal law enforcement officials will be participating in the tactical training.
The training exercises will take place at various schools and a private residence, the release said. The exact location of all the trainings will not disclosed, JPD spokesman Lt. David Campbell said, citing a need to protect the identities of any undercover officers.
JPD said that officers will be dressed in tactical police clothing and armed with long guns during the planned exercises.
