The Juneau Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 28-year-old Alexis Ashley Ehlers.
Ehlers has been distraught over personal issues and walked away from a very minor vehicle collision on Sunday, prior to the arrival of responding officers, JPD Lt. Kris Sell wrote in a Thursday morning press release.
Ehlers has not communicated with her family since Aug. 13, Sell wrote, adding, “JPD asks that any sightings of Ehlers be reported to 586-0600.”
Family members have created a flier that is posted on Facebook and says Ehlers was last seen across the street from Frontier Suites in the 9400 block of Glacier Highway.
She wrecked her vehicle and was seen on video walking away from the scene about 2:30 a.m., leaving her phone behind, according to the flier.
“Her family has called/text(ed) everyone that they can think of, to no avail,” the flier states. “She has not been in contact with anyone, that we are aware of, since about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, right before her vehicle was found. It is unusual for Lexi not to contact her family for this long!”
Ehlers is described as being 5-foot-5, 130 pounds, with dark brown hair and eyes, wears glasses, and has distinctive tattoos and piercings.
