Anyone who would like to learn what is in store for Juneau International Airport’s reconstruction of the North Wing will be able to see design concepts and express their thoughts during a public meeting at the Alaska Room in the airport at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
The North Wing, totaling about 35,000 square feet, is the area of the terminal where regional air carriers operate. Demolition is scheduled to start in April 2019 and new construction will generally occur on the same footprint. Work will address code deficiencies, replace infrastructure, improve energy efficiency and increase flexibility and adaptability of interior spaces.
People attending the meeting can park in short-term parking and bring their automated parking lot ticket to the meeting to get validated.
