The Downtown Juneau Rotary Club has launched its annual Rotary Roses fundraiser.
People can buy a dozen roses of various colors for $30 online at juneaurotaryroses.com or from a local downtown Rotarian. Funds are used for matching grants for local and international projects, fighting illiteracy, helping to feed the hungry, eradicating polio and scholarships.
The roses will be delivered by Rotarians throughout all of Juneau, whether to a home or place of business.
Roses can also be shipped to many neighboring Southeast Alaska communities due to a partnership with Alaska Seaplanes. Communities that can be reached include: Skagway, Haines, Gustavus, Hoonah, Kake, Angoon, Elfin Cove, Pelican, Sitka and Excursion Inlet.
