Alaska State Troopers found a 62-year-old Juneau man dead aboard a vessel Sunday afternoon on South Island.
The U.S. Coast Guard alerted troopers that a 27-foot vessel that Paul Fredrick was aboard was late for its return Sunday morning. When troopers located the vessel ashore South Island, approximately 26 miles south of Juneau, later that same day, he was dead, according to an AST online dispatch.
Officials have notified Fredrick’s next of kin and his body will be taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Officer in Anchorage. Foul play is not suspected at this time.
