David Benton, former executive director of the Marine Conservation Alliance, has been reappointed to the federal Arctic Research Commission by President Barack Obama.
The reappointment was announced by email Friday.
Benton was first appointed to the commission in 2012, two years after he left his position with the MCA. He previously served as chairman of the North Pacific Management Council and deputy commissioner of the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
