A Juneau pedestrian ended up in a Seattle hospital Tuesday night after a car hit her near Switzer Creek.
At about 7:09 p.m., according to a Juneau Police Department press release, police received a call that a black 2008 Ford pickup truck struck a 54-year-old woman near the intersection of Glacier Highway and Alaway Avenue. The 59-year-old driver of the truck is not suspected of being impaired, according to JPD. The investigation is still underway.
The woman suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital. She was then medevaced to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Neither person was named in the release.
