The Juneau Police Department has captured a man wanted in several felony cases after getting a tip about a dangerous driver.

JPD officers arrested Ryan Jerome Bradshaw, 28, around 10:15 p.m. Sunday after a caller reported a vehicle ran a red light, was swerving in the road and driving erratically near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Taku Boulevard. Police responded, identified Bradshaw as a passenger in the car and arrested him.

He was arrested on a felony drugs warrant, a misdemeanor warrant for violating conditions of release from jail, a felony charge of failing to stop when ordered by police, two felony charges of first-degree vehicle theft, and a felony charge of third-degree assault.

Earlier in the day, JPD had identified Bradshaw as a “person of interest in several ongoing investigations” and sought the public’s help finding him.

According to police, a member of the public said they witnessed Bradshaw inside a stolen vehicle on Saturday. When the person called police and confronted Bradshaw about the stolen vehicle, Bradshaw allegedly drove away “at a high rate of speed,” according to police, and struck the person with the car in the process. The person suffered minor injuries but did not need hospitalization.

Bradshaw was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.

According to online court records, he was scheduled to be arraigned in Juneau Superior Court on Monday afternoon.
