A Juneau woman was arrested for terroristic threatening and other charges Wednesday evening, said a Juneau Police Department spokesperson in a release.
Angela Marcy Bell, 32, was arrested Wednesday evening for second-degree terroristic threatening , which is a felony, and disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, which are misdemeanors, said Lt. Krag Campbell of JPD.
At 8:25 p.m., officers contacted a suspect, who police said had been involved in a physical altercation with patrons and barred by the staff from a building on the 300 block of Whittier Street. The suspect refused to leave the area, Campbell said, and became aggressive toward the officers and had to be restrained while being arrested.
Campbell said the suspect made statements regarding circumstances dangerous to human life, which appear to be false. There appears to be no threat to the arresting officers or the community, he said. The exact nature of the statements was not specified.
Bell was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center and was held without bail. Alcohol appears to be a factor.
