Kasilof man dies in single-vehicle weekend crash

KASILOF — A 26-year-old man died in a weekend crash near Kasilof on the Kenai Peninsula.

Alaska State Troopers said Billy Duncan died.

Troopers at 11:40 p.m. Saturday took a call of a crashed vehicle at Mile 1 Kalifornsky Beach Road.

Troopers arrived 13 minutes later.

The vehicle was unoccupied but an officer found Duncan unconscious and not breathing 50 feet away.

He could not be revived. Central Emergency Services medics pronounced Duncan dead shortly after midnight Sunday.

Troopers said alcohol was a factor in the crash.
