ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers have arrested a 39-year-old Kenai woman found in a car with checks stolen near Homer and are seeking a second suspect.
Pamela Larson is being held on theft charges. An arrest warrant has been issued for 46-year-old Kimberly Scheaffer.
Troopers just before 1:30 a.m. Aug. 10 stopped a sedan pulling into the wrong entrance of Homer Middle School. Larson and Scheaffer were inside.
Troopers said they spotted mail that did not belong to the women inside the car. They seized the car.
A search warrant found more than 100 stolen checks, debit cards, personal documents and consumable goods. Troopers also found a small amount of methamphetamine.
Troopers obtained arrest warrants Monday. Larson was already in custody of Anchorage police. Online court records do not list her attorney.
