The Alaska Legislature’s Budget and Audit Committee is asking for the public’s suggestions on how to make the state Department of Education run better.
From 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Friday in room 105 of the Capitol, the committee ─ a joint effort of the House and Senate ─ will take public comment on the department’s performance review.
Phone testimony will be accepted. Call 1-844-586-9085 to participate at the appointed time.
The committee intends to “hear the public’s ideas on the way agencies can work better or more efficiently.” The public testimony session was announced in an email Monday.
Anyone unable to participate Friday can email their comments to lba@akleg.gov by the end of the month.
